It's one of the best shallow poling skiffs around but agreed there is a tradeoff for that. The super skiff is one of the best riding 16' boats there is if you need to cross open water a lot. I love my Renegade but use it on certain days I have one person throwing a fly. An hpx or similar hull is much more versatile in my opinion.
