The 16' Super Skiff Pro is described as a widely used shallow water skiff with a hull combining an 18° Deep V and an 8-inch shallow draft, with integrated spray rail for a dry ride and comfort crossing open bays. Dolphin also describes it as the first boat developed for stalking bonefish on shallow flats.

I have had 2 Super Skiffs, a 1994 I had built and now a 2006 with a 90 Yamaha 2 stroke that was vacuum bagged and much lighter than my 94. One thing I don't like about the new ones being built is the plastic fuel tank takes up most of the front hatch and the rear compartment is very small compared to my 2006. The 2005 has a nice layout with the live well in the stern and a large compartment for the rear hatch. The front hatch is the same as a 2006. The hatch gutters on the 2006 are way too small. Dolphin needs to make them like the older ones had like my 94. The 94 never got a drop of water in the hatches, but the 2006 gets overwhelmed when a wave comes over the bow or stern.
