The NV-SL is purpose built for taming bigger water and is designed and built in South Carolina, then tested and tuned in the Florida Keys, the Everglades, and the Lowcountry. Drake emphasizes its 12-degree variable running-pad hull, larger fuel-capacity options, flush-mount electronics capability, and center-console design.

I have owned this skiff for over a year and have been blown away. I have previously owned a Beavertail and Drake Nomad 2.0 and have been thoroughly impressed by the ride and poling of the boat. Top speed is 41mph and comfortably cruise in the mid 30's, even in rough water. The boat has been fished from the Carolinas to the Keys and has held up very well. Fit and finish is outstanding and with a 12 degree hull, provides a very smooth ride. The surprise is the draft as it poles as skinny as the Nomad 2.0 (around 6 inches or so). Hats off to Wilds and the crew.
