Full disclosure went down yesterday and placed a deposit. I've been looking to get into a little bit smaller and simpler skiff that still has all of the "luxuries" that I want. Kevin and EC have really worked hard to keep the great Evo design while also squishing the total beam length to 17. Wet tested the V with a 60suk on it. Got up on plane in a boat length without any trim tabs needed, felt pretty sporty in turns but I felt very controlled driving it. There was a moderate chop and the little tweaks they've done to the boat showed. Although EC makes great boats and is always tweaking things it's the customer service that really sells me. I messaged Kevin at 6am the next day after the 17 was showed at Icast. Messaged me back within an hour with details and info... never envisioned myself building a new boat but excited for the process.
